This is a short tale of woe. I ordered a UHaul hitch for my 2010 Tacoma from a dealer on Ebay. $130 shipped. After a couple of weeks I called to see what the problem might be. Long story short....it was supposed to be shipped direct from the factory but the factory screwed up. The Ebay seller made it good and probably lost money by finding one local and shipping it himself. All was good when the hitch showed. It was a Draw-tite hitch as it turned out. When I tried to mount the hitch I discovered after a hour or so of rolling around on the garage floor that it was too narrow to fit over the bed frame. I had to call the Ebay seller back to get a phone number for draw-tite because they don't list a number on their web site. To make another long story short the draw-tite folks said ya...the mounting ears were too close together and would I take a sludge hammer and beat them out a half inch or so.....Ya sure. It is 1/4 inch steel. I suggested they send me a new hitch that was in spec and they agreed.

    We shall see what happens.....

So far so good with my new Tacoma...I just completed my first 3,000 mile oil change. Wally World had Mobil 1 5w-20 for $23.50 for a 5 quart jug. I bought 9 of them just in case the price goes up.

That sucks to hear. I actually bought and received a U-Haul branded hitch off of Ebay. Went in with no problems. Beats the $500 the dealer wanted and was probably the same hitch.
