Just purchased a 2000 Tacoma but it has goofy rims and tires that stick out....not my style. I want to go back to a stock Toyota wheel (15x7) OR what models and years have rims in a 16x7 will give me the best offset fit?? Also, what is the stock offset I need to be aware of? 25 or 30mm?? Anyone have any?
    Thanks........Alan.

Depends on what model Tacoma you have as to what was stock on it.

Standard 5 lug regular or xtra cab shows to have either a 14" steel wheel with hubcap or 14" alloy wheel.

PreRunner shows to have a styled steel or alloy wheel in 15" as do the 4x4 models.

Tyres on a 5 lug show stock 195/75/14 for the regular cab and 215/70/14 for the xtra cab.

Pre Runner and 4x4 show either 225/75/15 or 265/75/15 as being the stock options.

My 2000 sales brochure does not go into back spacing etc.

You may find it listed elsewhere on this site or you could try looking on tirerack.com to see what is listed there.

On the wheels, really the big issue for many here will be shipping. You might try your local Craigslist.com to see what is available. I know the one where I am seems to list pretty much only wheels and tyres for the Tacomas in the parts sections. Makes me wonder if no one keeps the factory stuff lol.

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers

Thanks, 15x7 are stock with 6-lug on 139 (5.5") wheel spacing, and the 225/75/15 are stock tires. Looking for 16x7s because there are more tire sizes available. I like the stock alloy looks.

Might want to stick with the 15" rims, as tires a cheaper than 16" size!
