What ever it is one of the codes that shuts the fuel off.

Could be Crank or Cam Sensor.

Something got knocked loose during the impact .

Might be the even a ECM connection

The Air intake is on and not cracked ??

When my truck was crashed/rolled up on one side, the air intake was disconnected from the throttle body. Not sure how it happened. I assume the engine twisted on the mounts from the acccident. Anyway it would not idle (stay running) till I reconnected it.

Yeah there usually is a code if the engine shuts off. If it got hit on the passenger side, depending on how bad, I would suggest inspecting the harness and diagnosing the igniter/MAF.

No doubt theres a code if you see it when it starts up for the few seconds. Like others said if the air intake hose is cracked or popped off it wont stay running. If it starts up I would say the fuel pump is working.

I know that the bow that goes around the air filter was cracked. But only before the filter, i didnt notice anything after that area cracked or loose. The maf sensor looked fine as well. Ill need to take a closer look when i havevthe time.

Update. There is a crack just behind the air filter. I gorilla taped the hell out of it. It stil wont start. However, i removed the entire air hose and it would stay running as i sprayed starter fluid into it. Anybody know where to go from here? Its obviously a fuel problem.

I'm still betting on the afm being smoked. the symptoms still point to the afm with it running without it if he sprays fuel in the tb with it disconnected, that does not sound coil related. If your afm is bad it will briefly start then die just as his is doing. DO you have anyone close with a known working afm to test with?

Could be. I know that when I cleaned my TB, i put everything back together and it would not start. Had me going for a day. Then I checked all the connections on the coil packs and sure enough, one power line had worked itself loose. But mine actually tried to start and would not.

Coil pack is a little spendy for me right now. Afm being active fuel management? Or in this trucks case im gonna guess that is the efi maybe? I also could not find an inertia switch. I tore this thing apart and looked it up n down.

On a Ford anyway it's located underneath the dash driver side. Not sure on the Toyotas, but many vehicles have them.

As an update i was able to fix the problem. I hate when people just fix it and dont let others know haha. There was one small wire on what i believe to be the igniter that was pulled loose. I was able to cut some of the cover back to show mire wires and bend it around a little blue rubber seal that it orginally went through to ensure connection. Ill leave a picture if itll let me.

That makes sense since the PO1300 is the ECM is not seeing the igniter signal so shuts the fuel off.

    Glad it runs
