    SOLD

Up for sale is my beloved turbo diesel access cab TRD offroad. I bought this rig swapped 2 years ago and have loved every moment of it. It has taken me up to Canada twice and has been to Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Montana. I've used this rig to go mountain biking, so it hasn't seen more than gravel roads and occasional 4lo to get to a sweet camping site. It is in beautiful shape and has no rust. Selling it because I got a 2nd gen and don't really drive it anymore. Everything works as it should.

Since I've owned it I have: Changed fluids, added a softopper, replaced a rear axle seal, added cruise control, fitted a new Hilux radiator, put new injectors in, converted to a J shift transfer case, and swapped it to a MANUAL!

Here is the motor swap/build thread from the previous owner:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/anothernords-jdm-1kz-te-diesel-swap-2001-tacoma-3-4.460113/

    Engine specs:
    - 1KZ-TE, I4, 3.0L, indirect injection, turbocharged, intercooled
    - Estimated 175 HP / 350 ft-lbs
    - 23-25 MPG
    - Always used OEM Toyota filters and Shell Rotella 5w-40 Synthetic

    Engine:
    - machine work done by AMS Machine
    - Has about 18,000 miles
    - New KA pistons (0.02 over)
    - New KA rings
    - New King rod and main bearings
    - 100% new OEM seals
    - Fully rebuilt head
    - Slightly turned-up fuel screw, timing and fuel resistors
    - New pre-combustion chambers
    - Genuine Spearco intercooler, custom 2.75" intercooler piping
    - Custom 3" exhaust, aeroturbine muffler
    - Complete set of spare engine gaskets, belts, extra R150F included for parts
    - New Injectors
    - Uses a TP3018 Duramax Fuel Filter with built in heater and water sensor

    Drivetrain:
    - Factory E-locker
    - Rear diff breather
    - R150F 5 speed manual transmission built using Marlin Crawler parts and OEM Seals
Has about 3,000 miles on it
    - New front lower control arms @ 274,000
    - New CV's @ 274,000
    - New CV axle seals (diff side) @ 274,000
    - J shift transfer case out of a 98 4runner with 140,000 miles
    - Brand new custom driveshafts from Durango Driveline
    - Currently on winter tires, only about 20% tread left. I've adjusted the price accordingly.
    - Also comes with 17" 4runner wheels with Dunlop tires with 40% tread left

    Suspension:
    - Tundra front brakes
    - Bilstein/OME lift
    - 5100's all around
    - OME front coils
    - OME rear leaf pack
    - New upper and lower ball joints (Moog and OEM) @ 274,000
    - New steering rack bushings @ 274,000

    Body/interior:
    - Factory Pop Up Sunroof
    - Dual batteries, wired simply in parallel
    - FX-R bixenon HID retrofit
    - Tan Softopper
    - Custom laser-cut DIN switch panel
    - EGT, Coolant temp gauge with alarm buzzer/light
    - Bosch Boost Gauge
    - Bedliner
    - Integrated stereo w/ bluetooth, etc
    - Trailer hitch
    - Subtle bumper-mounted Cree light bar
    - AVS Window Visors
    - Viper keyless entry

Truck currently sits at 292,422 miles. Only the body and front/rear differentials have that many miles. All new parts have under 20,000 miles. Truck is in great shape for it's age, but still has scratches and such that you would expect from a 18 year old vehicle. Window tint is getting old and is getting purple on driver's side. Tail gate has some scratches, dents, and a small crack. On one bedside the pin striping has a scuff. Also reverse lights are not hooked up.

In order to register this truck you need to make sure that your county allows it. I had no problems because my county doesn't do emissions. Other places don't on cars that are older than 15 years.

Asking $14,000 but open to offers. No trades.
I will continue to update this thread with pics and info.
Let me know if you have any questions!

did you swap the manual because the auto had problems still? I remember reading his build thread that the auto gave him a bit of trouble for a while, but thought he sorted it out ?

It worked ok. Sometimes it would end up in neutral for no reason after coming to a stop. Mostly did the swap because I can't stand automatics. Now the truck is more fun, way faster, and gets better mileage.

Found a leaky injector. Putting the sale on hold until I get it sorted.

Bump for an awesome truck I've driven personally and one of the most honest and knowledgeable Toyota enthusiasts you'll find.

All of his rigs are expertly built and meticulously cared for. You won't be disappointed.

There's a boost gauge where the switches used to be. Everything works off the oem ignition now. The key can come out when it's on though, I found it nice for charging stuff and warming it up.
