Finally complete! I got a brand new frame courtesy of the stealership and some EXTREME haggling on my part and arguing with them. They just put that on. When they did it they put on my new 5100 Bilsteins, and a daystar comfort ride 3in lift. I got a new timing belt, full tune up. Put on the black running boards and black bumper. Got a brand new hood, old one was mad dinged up. Got 285/70/17 Geolandars with Black Rhino wheels. And I finally put the finishing touch on by getting the whole thing PlastiDipped. I did the entire body Charcoal Gray with all matte black trim. Did the matte black on the flares, grill and emblems. I got this car when I got my driver's license back in 2001 and it came with me to Hawaii for 5 years. Everyone said "SELL!" before I left and I just couldn't do it. Glad I didn't! Only 99K miles, only owner and I will have this truck for a very long time. It parks in my garage now too so the plastidip should last a good while. Finally got this looking how I always imagined it. Cheeeeehooooooo!20170731_141534.jpg 20170731_141541.jpg 20170731_141547.jpg 20170731_141558.jpg

Yeah the whole thing is the Charcoal Gray and then all the trim is the matte black. My paint was looking beat up after 16 years of being parked outside and being 100 yards from the beach in Hawaii for 5 of them. Plastidip should last about 4 years in the garage. Whole truck would have been just $900 for the trim included $1400. Much cheaper than a paint job and looks way cooler imo.

Nice! Good info. My paint isn't the greatest and I'm sure will need redoing at some point. I like the idea of inexpensive options, especially when I'm not driving a show truck.

    Cool truck!
What running boards are those? I hate the ones that I have now, they stick out too much and hang too low, but I like the ones you have.

Also, totally just my opinion, and you can tell me to go pound sand, but I hate the little visor things on the rear windows... they make sense on the front, but not the back, plus they stick out further than the front ones do if you look at the truck from the front. I took mine off pretty soon after I got the truck.

The running boards are are Go Rhino 3" 4000 Series Nerf Bars, got them on AutoAnything. They're a pain in the ass to install because of having to maneuver around the brake lines but they look great, it just took some elbow grease. I kind of agree with you, I was debating putting them on, I had them on before the dip and wasn't a huge fan. I actually had the rain guards still in the packaging in the back seat waiting for when I finally dipped the truck and then I realized that when I got my truck back he had done it for me without me even asking. Not terribly upset and wouldn't rip them off (not a good idea with a dipped truck!) but maybe after the next dip I'll hold off :)

Nah, I had a guy do it that that's all he does is dip cars and wheels. Figured have a pro do it right. I did the research and it's really not even that huge of a savings to do it on your own between buying the product and the equipment necessary to do it. I mean for $1400 to make my truck look like that? And I didn't lift a finger? I'll take it.

If they are just stuck on with 3m tape, you might get lucky and they'll fall off on their own. My Tacoma's PO had actually put another rainguard up top... for a sunroof that didn't exist hahahaha.
I'll check out those nerf bars, thanks.

Truck looks sweet. I noticed the Jersey plates and I'm also from Jersey and my dealership wouldn't replace my spare tire carrier or frame. What dealership did you go to and how did you get them to do it?
