I have an opportunity to buy a 2003 double cab with a supercharger and exhaust mod. It also has a 4 inch lift and 35's plus a lot more. All the work was professionaly done and the truck has very low miles.

My question is this. Does all the mods put a serious threat to engine life and increase mechanical problems? I have a perfect running 2004 stock with 125K miles. I would hate to give it up to geta kick ass truck that then has all sorts of mechanical issues down the road

    Thanks

I see your dilemma. Staying with the "known" is always easier then going with the "unknown."

Does the truck have a 7th injector kit? Take it for an extended test drive and make sure everything is working well.

Is the supercharged truck the one you've always wanted? If it is, pull the trigger. Life is short, have fun while you're above ground.

If you decide against, it let me know. I am in the market. Would also be interested in yours, should you decide to make a change. PM me with details if they develop.

Thanks of the tip on the 7th injector kit. I'll do some research but what does it do?

Both trucks run perfectly. I'm leaning to buying the second one seeing what happens.

The OEM fuel system has a hard time keeping up with the amount of air the supercharger will stuff into the engine. The 7th injector will keep up with the supercharger.

I believe Toyota/TRD makes a 7th injector kit as well as URD. Many threads on the topic already.
