If your truck has a rusted frame you can take it in for an inspection at no cost. If they find a 10mm hole or larger they will replaced it at no cost. If no perforation is found they will undercoat it for free.

A friend of mine got the undercoating and then they wouldn't replace the frame later on when it still got worse.... just something to consider. I'm still hoping for rust perforation one day.

It was possible the time limit had expired on the one that was not replaced

What is the time limit you speak of? I thought if the frame has perforation it's gotta get changed?

On 2005-10 you have 1 year from court ruling or 12 years from original purchase date. So 05 models still have the 1 year from court ruling.

Jeff, this is an old thread, but did you ever get the frame replaced? (My apologies if I've asked you this before) I'm an hour north and taking mine in for inspection very soon. Which dealership did you go to? thanks you!!

No I did not. My truck actually was totaled in an accident October 18th of 2018. I did happen to take it to DCH Toyota of Torrance and they evaluated and stated I can get it replaced but, it would be up to a 2 week process. Sorry for getting back to you late I’ve been so busy. Good luck!

Wow I am really sorry, and hope you are ok from the accident. Not many have rusty frame in SoCal, so I just thought to ask you. I sure understand the being busy. Stay safe in this rain. Thank you so much!
