Hey Gaunt, I'll tell you what. I just saw you're in Maryland, PM me because I have a deal for you. Allow me to use your truck for test fit, and it's yours for free. I'll even install it to make sure all is good. The only thing you'll have to do, if you want is have it powder coated. I can have it powder coated for you if it is easier but I'd have to charge for that. PM me if you're interested and we'll set up a date and time to do it.

Shipping would cost $50.00, it would go Fedex ground and take approx 2 business days.

    Sale price would be $292.50

Why couldn't you have been in Florida? I would have jumped on that deal!

I hope my wife doesn't see this post, she wants to move to FL in the worst way haha. It only makes sense for both of us, all our family is down there. Only thing keeping me up here is my job. I would never find what I have up here down there, I've been looking for years.

What's the total cost? Trying to figure out numbers here and want to make sure I get them correct. So 325 + 50 - 10%? Or 325 - 10% + 50?

Total cost, non powder coat with receiver and shipping and handling is $342.50.

I can't discount shipping and handling, mainly because I already round down when calculating it. I've gotten better prices now that I've created business accounts but it is still incredibly pricey to ship anything, especially if it is a large box or heavy.

I am very interested in this. Do you have photos of what it would look like with the receiver in there as well?
As I am looking for more front end protection, would this item work WITH an Avid bumper guard?

I don't have one with a receiver in it yet, I am going to make 5 of them next week. Probably 3 without receivers and 2 with. I will get pictures up as soon as I'm done.

Do you know approximately what the tongue weight the hitch would hold hold? And how about the towing capacity if used as a third recovery point? Tear strength, as in when being pulled from it when stuck, we usually get a tuck and don't want the hitch to get ripped out, same question on the two actual recovery points, have they been tested to show much force then can take in different directions?

Think it would be able to be used as a jacking point / lift point for a high lift?

I'll probably be in for a raw one of these once my 2015 comes in. I could come pick it up as we aren't far from each other.

We get it. You don't like it. You think it costs too much.

Well, why not move along, and buy what you want elsewhere instead of just grousing

This will be equivalent in strength to a front mount hitch. Installs same way as the hitch, just mounted higher so you don't sacrifice arrival angle. It can be used as a point to slide in a bumper mounted winch and can also be used for a high lift point, although be careful lifting from center as to not have the truck fall to one side or the other.
