    Too many to list now.
If it's anything like the Airflow you can run whatever you want under the hood, just attaches to the stock airbox location.

Haha I ain't got no supercharger money. I wish. Can't wait to get these gears and Locker installed though! I pretty much just want snorkel and winch after that and I'll be good for a while. Probably find some random things in between that I want haha. Really wanna start building an adventure trailer pretty soon as well!

That is a bit of a mystery. Safari's engineers are using some new flow bench data. I'm told they measured resistance through the factory intake/air cleaner and built a snorkel to match that. That isn't to say the 4.0L needs the full airflow of the factor intake/air cleaner but they didn't want to be the one that restricted it. Here is the kick, it's the largest snorkel they have made to date, including those made of the much larger 4.7 and 5.7L motors. Furthermore, we have plenty of customers running these on SC'd trucks including the Expedition Overland 2nd Gen Tacoma I drove down to Panama, zero airflow issues i.e. no performance problems, no rich run conditions or fuel trim discrepancies. Not to say a larger snorkel won't open up the airflow for the SC in a positive way... just that there isn't a noted running issue with the SS135MOD.

No, you will need a factory style sealed intake system. I'm not familiar with a CAI system for the Tacoma that would be compatible or lend itself to use with a Safari Snorkel.

What would be the issue Kurt? Most CAI's utilize the same intake position and I'd think at worst you'd need something to mate the two tubes from the snorkel to the CAI box? :notsure:

Or what am I missing there?

Which CAI are you thinking of?

It's not going to work with a Volant, K&N or AEM as they have dual opening and or completely open filters. The TRD units use an inlet horn in the wheel well, so it might work but you would have just a small distance to adapt from the snorkel to the inlet of the TRD. It's certainly not going to be bolt-on though it's likely not going to be any tougher than a snorkel install, relatively speaking. I know it has been done with the SS135MOD so I guess I shouldn't say it won't work, just that it won't work with the provided parts.

This would be tough to seal to with out a major rework:

TRD was the first one that came to mind, definitely didn't expect it to be bolt on but I think you hit the nail on the head, wouldnt be worse than the snorkel install itself. That 4 1/8 hole saw was not friendly.

Gotcha, you said "most CAI's utilize the same intake position" and I can think of one that "might" work ;)

My Airflow is plumbed to a TRD CAI and it works just fine.
