So Toyota of Knoxville, told me yesterday that my 05 Taco failed the test of the frame and they were submitting it to Toyota for replacement approval. My question is... am i to assume any fluids that run thru lines attached to the frame will be replaced at this time (i.e. brake fluid, trans fluid, possibly coolant)? i know the coolant doesnt flow thru frame mounted lines, but will they be separating the motor from the radiator? Basically, how do they do it?

I figured some of you guys must have had your frames replaced and might have some insight. I noticed in a thread in the first gen forum, someone mentioned that Toyota Techs would lift the motor and trans off the frame with the cab. Ending up having less stuff to disconnect. Is it the same on our second gens?

From what I've just read they replace several "fluids" on the replacement.

they take the body off the frame, obviously, and the engine off the frame. They change out the brake lines also. As a result, the AC system is evacuated, the coolant is drained, and the braking system is drained. I think that's the extent of the fluids.
My manual transmission and transfer case stayed with the engine, I think, and they were not drained. Dif's were not drained.
