2005 Tacoma- Keyless entry problems.

I have searched and I can't find what I'm looking for so I am asking for help from the pros. I bought an 05 double cab long bed and my keyless entry works intermittently. I have changed batteries in the fobs and reprogrammed them as well. Still only works every once in a while. Where is the keyless entry module located in the truck? Any other ideas on what to try?

 

I don't think there is actually an external module for keyless entry unless it came with the factory alarm upgrade. I believe just keyless entry is part of the ecu. I would suspect you may have a bad remote. Either go aftermarket alarm or cheap route would be try replacing the remote to see if it solves your problem. Welcome to TW.
