What is a 2005 Xrunner with 40K miles worth in REALITY? Is the market way smaller? I have a gentleman willing to trade me one+cash for my car. It appears he is not having good luck selling it himself so I don't want to get stuck with the same issue.

Well KBB suggests anywhere from 17-20k. Depends what you're willing to pay for it, and what he's willing to sell it for... If it's modded, etc.

he is interested again. it has 48K miles on it now. it was in an accident and it shows up on carfax. How does that affect resale? Will I even be able to trade it at carmax?

I would stay away, if its been in an accident......plus are you talking about your corvette to trade? Ditto on the condition of the X-runner....at least you know how you maintained your own vehicles.

yes, trading the vette plus cash. I was gonna drive it for a month and turn around and have carmax buy it since they give decent prices on toyotas. BUT, with the carfax issue, I don't think they would be able to resell it on their lot then and then get hosed on the trade. Foiled my plans.

I would need to get 12k min for it to get what I need. Would like to see 13 if possible. Is that doable?

I just bought a 2005 speedway blue x-runner with 45,000 miles for $15,900. It was the cheapest i could find at any dealer in or around Houston. It was a certified pre-owned so i was able to get a really good warranty on it. No accidents and in perfect condition. I love it.
