2006 2.7 2wd won't idle Help!

As stated 2006 Taco w/174,000 good maintenance, this problem started on 9/5 with a battery change and alternator. It will drop down to about 500 rpm and then quit entirely. It's a 5 speed stick and the air filter is relatively new. Help! Runs fine on the hwy.

 

Is there a check engine light on when it runs?

 

Drive it!
Give the computer time to relearn.

Other than the relearn
Vacuum leaks?
Throttle body and maf cleaning.

 

It's been driven for 90 miles and the throttle body is clean. What's the maf?

 

At 90 miles it should had figured itself out.

Have you checked for vacuum leaks?

 

Who did you source the alternator from?

 

Check battery connections and alternator connections again.

Test voltages through the battery to starter and all that too.
