    See if you can find anyone on here who works at a Toyota dealer, they should be able to get you a better deal on toyota parts. The dealer mark up on some items can be close to 50% sometimes.

    You said the radiator was clear and you could see through it. Meaning, I assume, you're looking at the outside.

    Radiaitors clog up inside too. I'd have it checked or if original, just replace it after all this work. It's very possible a clogged up radiator set this ball rolling.

    What about Head Bolts.
    OEM or aftermarket.

    I was thinking after market would probably be stronger.

    it doesn't matter. heads warp before bolts break. One of those items there really was no market for.

    When you're driving and the heater goes cold, (provided it was blowing hot recently) it means it's out of water inside the core and most likely the engine is empty also. When water boils it empties out of the engine completely. I just went through this on my Sienna and I'm really afraid there is a crack now in the block.

    If it isn’t broke don’t fix it. The timing chains are supposed to last the life of the engine. Not sure how long that is supposed to be, but for reference I have 4.0 1GR with 359k on stock timing chain still going strong.

    Just hit 200k but the head gasket is blown

    TRD S/C, UCON, 61# inj, 2.5 pulley, 7th inj, Roostfactor Y Pipe, URD exhaust, WAT Nomad Valve body, Dana 60, DK LT, JD FAB LCA mounts, custom roof rack...and way too many others.
    I’ve got a couple of head gaskets here that we could work out a nice deal on. I bought a full master kit for the engine when I swapped in a 60k engine for my spent 180k engine. It’s a good time to install new water pump and main seals too. It’s actually cheaper to buy the engine kit from Longo Toyota online than it was to do onesie twosies. The engine I bought was an 05 and the gasket kit is the appropriate and NEW part number for your year. Let me know or PM if interested.

    Too few to list.
    I guess it all depends on how much longer do you think you would own the truck. At 200K, since it's already opened I'd replace it. Also a good time to install cam gears.

    Need? No. However, it's recommended to save some work in the future. If the chain stretches, it can set a CEL for cam-crank correlation fault. It would be shitty to have to open the timing cover again in, say, 30k.

    More important to replace the chain guides. It's plastic that's been bathed in oil for the last 13 years. Bits can get brittle and fall into the oil system.

    Chain guides would be the first to go before the chain does. I opened up our 2.7 with 199K miles and the guides desperately needed to be changed.
