    After all this. I think I'm going to put 10w30 oil in it from now on.
    Full synthetic.
    Shes over 200k miles.
    Good idea??

    Not gonna hurt anything. I am running 10w-30 in mine. Maybe a slight decrease in mpg, not super noticeable.

    Do you run conventional/semi/“full” synthetic/or a real synthetic oil?

    Just figured since I replaced the chain and did all this work. Why not go a little thicker since shes getting older.

    Good vid for you. However, if you're seeing this on both banks it makes me think you could have been 180degrees out when you aligned the timing marks. How did you determine TDC?

    Did you put your finger on number 1 spark plug to ensure it was coming up on the compression stroke?

    Unfortunately no. I had my flashlight in there and checked it. After the chain was on.

    It takes about 5 full turns just for all the markings to match back up. That's the chain markings and all the cam markings.

    I'm no expert, but I think your main timing chain is 1 roller off (retarded).
