I have a 2006 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab. I love this truck. I noticed on the driver side, under the hood, near the top of the engine compartment, there is what appears to be a black fuel filter. It is about 1-1/2 inches diameter and 2 inches long, connected to black rubber tubing on each end. I haven't been able to find this fuel filter at NAPA auto stores. Besides a dealer, any ideas on where to get a replacement, how often it should be replaced, and is it really a fuel filter?
    Thanks.

It sounds more like a solenoid for your EVAP system than a fuel filter. A picture would really help.
Nowadays, a lot of cars/trucks have the fuel filter directly in the tank.

I belive it's in the tank. I was looking into that a while back too.
