After owning my diesel truck for about 15 months or so, i decided i didnt need it and sold it for a huge loss

But luckily a vehicle popped up ive always wanted to own popped up. Last model year, 1 owner 250k miles, all work done at a dealer exclusively. Thundercloud Metallic paint (which just sounds pretty damn cool lol) Bone stock.

So made the 3 hour drive up to NC to look at it and brought it home. :)

2007 Toyota Land Cruiser Mod List

Did you have to do anything to it to get her up to par or was she pristine as is? I ended up having to do wheel bearings, CVs, radiator and speakers to start out. everything else is ok as is. she's been well used lol. it was my inlaws since 05 and both my wife and brother in law drove it for a few years when they were young. I'm surprised its in as good of shape as it is considering.

i bought it right as it stands. The previous owner put about 12k worth of work into it. All done at the dealer. (ABS Brake booster pump, steering rack, calipers/rotors/pads all 4 corners, CV Axles, brand new OEM headlights, tag lights, rust removal/undercoating (spent a few years in NY), Flushes of all the fluids. Ect. Basically it got baselined before i purchased it.

The front speakers and tweeters are toast and new speakers should be here today. I went with some JBLs off Crutchfield. Also got a USA-SPEC BT45TOY that im putting in because not having bluetooth in 2023 is a crime lol.

It needs tires as well. I got a connect with General Tires so that'll be no issue as well. Probs go up a size to 275/65/18

It has some cosmetic issues(minor scuffs and such) but nothing im gonna stress. I can polish out the majority of the scratches. It has a Check engine light for a very small EVAP leak as of yesterday so i suspect vac lines are toast somewhere. It sat for 6 months before it finally was sold to me. The owners did not wanna part with it lol

    Appreciate it :)

That was awfully nice of them to drop a bunch of money on it first! sadly our inlaws took it to whatever mechanic was closest so a lot of the parts weren't OEM and they lost all the good hose clamps. I had a hell of a time getting coolant leaks to stop until I got the OEM clamps.

I got the bt45toy too. that thing saved lives.

I still haven't quite found a good fix for a phone mount without taking too much apart and modifying something. right now I just use one that clips onto the vent. I need to get the sunroof working next so I can keep the drains clean and keep leaks from happening. it doesnt sound good when I try to open it haha.

My sunroof actually works and sounds quiet as shit lol. I have no clue how i even got this thing. The day before i went up someone had agreed to buy it and then backed out last minute. That kinda scared me but when i got there to look i was like hell nah. This thing cleannnnn

in true fashion i've already ordered parts for it lol.

Ironman 4x4 Drawers are coming. 1300$ or so for a complete set of metal drawers/wing kit shipped is a no brainer. Should make storage and organization easier.

JBL speakers have arrived from Crutchfield as well. This Sunday she'll hopefully be blasting tunes by the afternoon

Are you going to add an amp anywhere? I was very unimpressed after my speaker swap. I don’t know if I got speakers that needed more juice than what the stock head unit could provide or if the wife’s 200 series just gave me super high expectations for sound. That thing sounds like a high end movie theatre. I think my next purchase is going to be suspension related. I’m thinking these are the original shocks…

Uh i dont plan on adding an amp. I thought the stock speakers (the ones behind me) sounded ok for me. I aint never sat in a vehicle with an amazing system so my expectations arent crazy. Probs for the best really.

Only thing she needs now are tires and ive been diagnosing a key fob issue. The remote and the truck are not communicating. The master key starts the vehicle but the buttons dont work. I've narrowed it down to the junction box on the drivers side kick panel. Apparently the 2003+ they did away with relays(sucks) and opted to integrate it into the circuit board itself. So i'd have to replace the entire thing.. Cruiser outfitters has one for 550$ but i'd probs just do it the ole fashioned way for now.

Pics of the 200 series :spy:

oh the key fob thing sucks. glad I haven't run into that one yet! im currently stressing about the brake booster failing randomly since thats apparently a thing. its still got its original. I did the test (pump brakes 40 times with the car off and turn the key to ign and see how many seconds the pump runs before pressure is back up) and it was in the acceptable range at least. still scares me though.

    IMG_3602.HEIC.jpg

Shes completely stock too except for me deleting the rear entertainment system.
