I picked apart this info from the Toyota press release for the 2007 Tacoma...
    • Larger seats
    • New two-tone instrument panel
    • Redesigned audio head units
    • New chrome trim around the gauge panel lend a more upscale look
    • On Access Cab Sport grade models, front seats feature convenient new “walk-in" memory. Drivers can now disengage the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) system on models so equipped.
    • In all 2007 models, the standard four-wheel ABS is augmented by EBD and BA. EBD optimizes brake pressure at each wheel independently for greater control under braking, especially when cornering. The Brake Assist system is designed to determine if the driver is attempting emergency braking. If the driver has not pressed firmly enough on the brake pedal to engage the ABS, the system supplements the applied braking power until pedal pressure is released.
    • The Double Cab models now have a cutoff switch for the side curtain airbags.

What the hell? With the chrome, will it ever end?

I'm getting a little sick of the chrome trend.

I just picked up my 2007 Double Cab Sport 4x4 longbo yesterday up here in Alberta in it's the same as my '05 except with tire pressure monitoring. I was hoping there would be some more changes though.

I think chrome is awesome. Some things never go out of style, especially chrome. I am very dissapointed that the new Tacoma doesnt have a chrome front bumper to match the grille. That was one of Tacomas trademarks.

I really like the chrome bumper also. I almost bought the 06 regular cab tundra v8. I really like the looks of it with the chrome bumper. I waited to long and couldn't find any here so I bought the tacoma off road. It cost a little more though.

fslaugts, You are right. The chrome on the Tundra is nice but lets be realistic, you made the right choice, Tacomas look alot better than tundras. Tundras are nice and all, after all they are Toyotas, but they kind of look like the 90s style F150 from Ford. I am sure they are great trucks but they should have made them look better. I saw some pictures of the New Tundras coming out. Those look alot better. They actually made me a better deal on a Tundra than when I bought my first 05 Tacoma. They had alot of Tundras on the lot but I preferred to wait for the Tacoma. Worth the wait.

Yes I agree Jesse the Tacoma is the better looking truck. Also you are right they had super good deals on Tundra's when I bought my 06 Tacoma last month. That is what really made the Tundra's look good. Also I like the smooth v8. But I have no regrets Jesse and I am very happy with my Impulse Red off road 4x2 6 speed. Well, Maybe the color. Selection was very slim last month on 06 Tacoma's.

hey everyone, I just wanted to share that my new Tacoma just came in. I have been waiting for it for a month now and it's finally here. Just picked it up about an hour ago. When I made the deal, they agreed to install a chrome grille on my new 2007 Tacoma Double Cab with the Sport Package. It usually comes the same color as the truck but I thought chrome was the way to go.

The double cab has more room than my 97 Saturn SL2, in both the front and the back!
Unfortunately.. my wife drives it most of the time! ...her commute is much shorter than mine.

Right now there aren't any plans to enhance to this beautiful truck... (other than a cover for the bed and a tow hitch) those will empty our cash flow if you know what I mean...
I don't have a lot of truck knowledge so I can't contribute much, but when I know something I'll share it! I've already learned a lot reading some of the threads I've seen and I appreciate the knowledge shared!
We'll need the tow hitch to pull some of the horses in the barn that is in the back ground of the pics. I started a thread asking about info on towing capacity...
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/technical-chat/165-towing-capabilities-taco-07-a.html
I also started a thread about bed covers...

I just saw a new '07 Tundra at the auto show in town yesterday. It's not a bad looking truck, but sorta reminds me of a Ford with a Dodge-ish front end. It is very big and has a serious powerplant, 5.7 Liter engine. The frame is fully boxed up front and has a lot of cross-bracing thoughout, but the main spars don't look as sturdy as I would have expected. Also, the display looked like a base model, ie. not much trim, 4x2, smallish steel wheels.

I like the idea that they don't change to much. It keeps the look there, but increasing safety or internal features is cool.I like the front on the 2007-Rich 0916070085150Largejpgs.jpg1_d195082ed80c24e496f0dfc197d6e37021b15133.jpg
