2008 Stereo Head Unit Upgrade to Bluetooth or USB

I’ve read a handful of the posts about swapping out older OEM head units with newer ones. But they were mostly with 2014+ units.

I have a 2008 non-JBL stereo with no Bluetooth, USB or AUX capabilities and would like to swap it out for a newer stereo with Bluetooth or AUX, without spending a ton of money or too much wiring work. I would like an OEM head unit. Would a 2012 unit be a plug and play, or should I get a 2010 or so?

I would just go with something like this. $150 once you get the harness and it will have everything you want.

Thanks! But I would really prefer an original from a newer model Tacoma. They look better and are easier to use.
