    Hello..new member here.

I recently inherited a 2008 Tacoma, TRD package, 4 door, 2wd, long bed. Only 13k miles...

That being said, I would like to make an upgrade to the radio (head unit?). It currently has the OEM 4 or 6 disc CD stereo. The steering wheel has controls only for the radio functions.
Any suggestions on upgrades? Ideally (why has the font changed) I would like to have bluetooth (for phone?), nav, satellite, and HD radio. Also I would like to move the backup camera image off of the rear view mirror.

    Thanks,
    Steve

Nice. That is what I call an inheritance. Head over to the audio/video forum for better help, though some guys here will definitely chime in with options.

    Lots of options...

I have a Pioneer AVIC 5100. Checks all your boxes.

I'll just list links to where I got my stuff:

Wiring harness. This is for the non-JBL system. Used to retain steering wheel controls, and keep from splicing into factory harness:

Face plate. There are basicly 2 types for our trucks. Most people prefer this one:

I'm not sure what condition you received the Tacoma in, but I'd also go over it meticulously, and make sure maintenance is good on it before I ran straight into dropping cash on an audio setup. I'm assuming at 13k miles for it being a 2008, its in mint condition. But I'd still want to do any necessary maintenance since it seems like its been sitting 95% of the time.

This way you can enjoy it for a long time since it has such low mileage, if that is your plan.

This was purchased new in 2008. It was never a daily driver unless a primary vehicle was in the shop. It was used as a family truck replacing a Ranger that I had driven for 25 years. For better or worse, it was driven vary rarely by my father ( Who is now too old to be driving ). Therefore, I am positive that there are only 13,000 miles on it. For all intensive purposes, it looks like it just pulled off the showroom floor
