I bought my 2008 Tacoma two weeks ago. I took it in to Garber Fox Lake Toyota in Illinois for a frame inspection. They failed my truck and seized it on 4/20. I was put in a loaner. On Monday 4/22 I called them and asked them some details on how the process works and asked if I could buy new shocks and have them install them. They said yes at 4 hours labor. I said come on give me a break. They said F you in a less abrasive way. I said I'd like to examine the option of going to another dealer for the recall work. They said no because Toyota already approved the claim and is shipping the new frame. Monday night I took my spare set of keys and took my truck back! I am working with another dealer now to get the frame done. They promised all for shocks installed no labor.

I got my keys. They tried to charge me for a nail in a tire of the loaner and 7 gallons of gas at $5.99 per gallon. I argued that the nail could have been in there when I left and the tank wasn't full when I took it. A nice red headed young lady backed me up on the gas part. So I skated out of there without paying a dime. I'm off to Pauly Toyota today for a 5:30 frame inspection with them.

    Ha that’s awesome!
My dealer finished mine on a Thursday and wanted me to wait til Tuesday to pick it up paperwork?
I went and checked it out started it moved it around a little.
Went back later after closing to get it and they had it boxed in with other vehicles.
    Failure dammit.
