That sounds standard. Just in the time we've been talkin I got a call from Pauly Toyota in Crystal Lake. They have my frame approved by Toyota. I'm bringing it in Monday where I'll get a loaner and start my waiting. LOL

Please post a picture here when you're done. In fact any other fresh framers we would love to see your new frames and hear about your experiences good or bad. Thanks

From what I read they are holding most of the vehicles. But I wish you good luck

Seems some do and some dont. That tiny little hole is the only hole in the frame. I honestly thought theyd let us keep it until the frame arrived. But they opted to impound it instead and put us in a 2019 4Runner for a month.

If they try to put you in a Corolla, ask them if it's OK if you put your chainsaws in the trunk and strap your extension ladder to the roof. Some people have gone as far as load all their tools in the bed of their truck before they take it in for inspection. "Your frame failed. We're bringing around your rental car." "OK, I just need to transfer all my tools into the rental."

I think there is already a Frame Replacement thread going. I posted my recent experience there.

When I bought my truck, I took it to my local dealership to get it inspected since my frame had been only coated. They told me that there was a hole in the frame and that it would need to be replaced. They said I would receive a letter in the mail when I could get it replaced. A year later no letter. Took it in again to see what was up. They continued to say that I needed to wait on this letter. I ended up taking it to the next towns dealership and that day they ordered everything for me and within 3 weeks had my frame replaced.

This is the spot where they said it needed to be replaced.
It only took the dealership 2.5 weeks to get my frame in and I think 3 days for them to swap it out.

Hi Muddinfun. Pauly Toyota in crystal lake has my truck. I'm in a rav4 for a month or so. They are gonna put my new shocks on "no labor" and new brakes that I supply on for 1/2 hr labor. Including calipers if I can afford them. Thanks for asking :)

Very cool. Glad you got things worked out with a dealer that's doing things the way they should be done.

TrailRayted, did you get put ahead of anyone else waiting because they kept your vehicle? I canceled my appointment at the dealer that had 40 frames on order. I made an appointment with a more reputable dealer for the same day, and they have less frames on order.

Wow 40 frames. You'd have been without a truck forever. I didn't ask how many they have on order but mine got ordered yesterday. They told me about a month. Sometimes less. I'm hoping for the less as I just bought the truck and am wanting to rough it up.
