    They can do better than 1200.00 off. They may not want to, but they certainly can do so.

    I'm a firm believer that the dealer will always make money, no matter what they tell you. I think you could get them to go down some more but Toyota doesn't like to budge too much with the Tacoma. It's your Tacoma and a long as your happy with it then it's a good deal. IMHO

    They outta come down atleast another $2K.

    Invoice on that truck for an '08 was $24,377. In '09 they increased the MSRP roughly $1,500, so they paid around $26,000 for that truck.

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    go to edumnds.com and put in the options for the invoice price. an 09 trd sport DC 4x4 w/ no other options has an invoice of $27k something

    trust me get ur truck through the fleet department rather than the dealer. through the fleet u get great deals but no wheel and deal. fleet is the way to go, thats how i got mine

    Tell em you can't afford the gas prices of a V6, and start looking at 4 cylinder models. They will come off their price a bit more.

    You could also get a "bottom line" price from consumer reports. You can customize for the options you chose as well. Really handy and worth the $14. I'd use that price to start negotiations.

    You should be emailing 3-4 dealers in your area and making them compete. Take the price you just got and email the others.

    tell u will keep looking before u make any final decision, they will ask how much u want to pay again.... they like to play games!! that's the only for them to maxiumize profit!

    just choosing black your going to pay about $600 more. Check the base msrp for another color. You will see.
