Noobie question here about the TSBs. First, we have had a 2004 Tacoma, TRD for several years, with excellent results. About a month ago, my wife totaled it (she's OK). We're looking at a 2009 4x4 double cab (closest to what we had). I've always bought from the dealer, but this one is at CarMax. The 36 months literally has about a month to run. First question is does the 36 month transfer when the vehicle goes through a 3rd party reseller? Second, can CarMax perform the TSB remedies or is it dealer only. Third, I guess, is how have people been pleased who've dealt with CarMax?

The warranty is 3 years or 36,000 miles for the vehicle. Does not matter how many times it changes hands. Only the dealer can do the TSB's. As long as it's documented before the end of warranty, some dealers will still do TSB's after the time is up.
