this is a performance topic but i think it will get more discussion and insight here.

i am seriously considering the purchase/install of a TRD Supercharger for my 2010 4.0L. my concern is the ECU reflash. i read about a guy on this forum that had issues with his dealer and the ECU reflash.

my question is...can anyone positively confirm that the TRD Supercharger install and ECU reflash can be successfully performed on my truck?

i have the top service advisor at my local dealership looking into this as well.

Sounds like URD could help you more than the dealer

i'm only interested in the TRD Supercharger and the factory supported (warranty) gains that come along with it. so to me, it sounds like the dealer can help me more than URD. thanks for the post:thumbsup:

The TRD Supercharger is not compatible with the new 4.0L V6.

My sources at TRD tell me there are no plans at all to make a supercharge for the new engine.

I have an 09 with a blower also and its awesome. Its not the engine thats different its the ECU. Its possible that toyota finds it not worth its time to recalibrate the trd supercharger kit's ecu to work for the '10.

There is no difference 2005-2010 all have the same 4.0s.

The new 4runner now has a 4.0 that has had some changes to it.

Oh, I am very sorry. I thought I was on the FJ forum.

The 2010 Tacoma uses the same engine. You just have to wait until TRD publishes the reflash to TIS so the dealerships can access it.

The V6 in the FJ and 4Runner for 2010 is different and you may see it in the Tacoma next year.

Yea, TRD (I BELIEVE) still needs to develop the ECU map for the 2010. Go buy that supercharger NOW!!!
