    shop-built headache rack / tool box / trimmed mud-flaps / bull-bar / 2.5-inch front lift / 1.5-inch rear lift / n-fab nerf-bars /
I still have the stock tires on it. I have lifted it 2.5-inches in front and 1.5-inches in back. Headache rack, AFE pro-dry filter, super-unleaded, regular unleaded, tires at 30 psi, tires at 50 psi, etc........

I have checked mileage on every tank since new and didn't notice any significant change.

Service mng recommended an aftermarket muffler, but I don't think I should have to spend that much extra money to get the mileage the sticker says I should get. In fact he was not surprised one bit about the mileage I am getting, he recommended the super-unleaded, which I tried, but it didn't help.

I looked back at the other vehicles I have had in the past and they pretty much got soemwhere between the city mileage and highway mileage estimate from the sticker. I didn't expect to get 26mpg, but I did expect to consistently get above 20mpg with the type of driving I do.

its clear the 20/26 is possible on the base non prerunner trucks, theyre rated same cause of the drivetrain but its obvious a truck that sits much higher up isnt going to be the same with wind resistance... and the fact you lifted yours even more even though you have stock tires, im not surprised your mileage sucks.

ive noticed now that its hot and humid as hell, my avg mpg is around 21-22 now so roughly ive lost 2mpg.

26 is possible with the PreRunner as well. I've hit and exceeded that mark a few times now. People simply aren't willing to drive with the light foot required to get that number. Summer is doing its dirty work on me now with the requisite constant and hard A/C use.

I keep to a maximum speed of 55 mph. With constant A/C use, I'm still running a shade over 24 mpg on my commute, and I do have several traffic lights to contend with.
