2010 gauge face kit install

Anyone do a replacement on the gauge face plate to another color? Did you have to change the lights and needles as well? Any pics or write ups? Could not find anything under search...

Thanks just those Amber color lights suck.... Not to good with wiring so maybe one for the Pros...

I do them on the side
Requires soldering the existing orange LEDs and soldering the new ones in

Color change of needles require removing paint and repainting them as well as changing the LEDs for he color you want

I did mine. I won't lie and say it's easy. But it was the first time I ever soldered. Took about 3-4 hours. But it's worth it.

 

Has anyone ever put the gauge cluster from 2012+ into an older truck? Is it plug and play like the led tail lights? What i like:

I have a 6 speed manual xrunner so there are no gear selector lights. I've been debating figuring out how to wire up a digital display to show what gear I'm in where y'all have the gear selection.
