I'm going tomorrow to grab a pair of chevy 63s from a junkyard around here. Won't be until mid summer until I can weld the spring hangers in place but I'm sure I'll have my work cut out for me restoring the springs and getting everything else ready to go. If you don't mind posting up some measurements and some pics of your undercarriage I would greatly appreciate it!

Did you get your springs from the junkyard? If so did you do anything to make them pretty again? I'm working on refurbishing a pair right now and getting the old bushings out is turning out to be a royal PITA. Any suggestions? Thanks man!

I bought them from a guy in Sacramento. Old bushings are the worst to get out. I'm actually walking to my truck right now and I swear I'll get those measurements for you. As far as the eye of the fronts leafspring hanger if you have a double cab short bed it will be in the same spot I believe but if you have a regular cab it will be different. What model do you have?

Try cutting them out. Maybe get a long jigsaw blade and make 2 cuts on each bushing and pop them out in 2 pieces.

Yeah, I have a regular cab. I'd still be curious what the measurements come out to be though.

I was able to get one of the bushings out in a similar manner to what you described. Still took a while! I saw a video where some guy used a drill to walk them out, I'll give that a try tonight!

Thanks a bunch for your help, your flex pics keep me motivated to get these springs cleaned up! :D

Hopefully within a month or two I can find some time.

Just parts at the shop I go to. They do all sorts of stuff from rat rods to crawlers. Here is a pic of one of their shop crawlers. They are fitting their new 40's with the nitrogen shocks fully depressed.

The set of springs I have, had good bushings so I didn't buy a new set.

For the swap kit I bought the following which was everything needed minus the rear shackle hanger offset perch mount which I had made up.
