Hi. I bought a new 2011 Double Cab Tacoma PreRunner and had my local 4WheelParts shop put on a 3” Procomp lift, 17x9 RBP 93R wheels with a 4.5” backspace, and 305/65/17 Procomp Xtreme AT tires. Then I painted the wheel inserts the same Barcelona red as my truck. I know that BLACK is the current fad, but I have always liked chrome and I probably always will. You never know for sure exactly what these mods will look like when complete. Thankfully, the truck looks exactly the way I hoped it would. I’m very happy with it.

The first picture is stock, they way it looked when I bought it. The second picture is with the new lift, tires, and wheels (with black inserts). The third picture is the way it looks now, with painted inserts.

I don't normally love red trucks but I think it looks great with the chrome. Nice work.

I like the old rims :)... the red inserts look good, but its seems you could have done the red insert up to the edge, but left the outside ring chrome? Well, on second look, maybe it would not look right? Anyway I love the red ride... and chrome always looks good with red.

Looks good man! I like the color matching wheels. How much trimming did you have to do to fit those tires?

Thanks for the compliment. There's just a little bit of rubbing with these tires. This is the size 4WheelParts recommended, so I went with it. Of course, they had to remove the mudflaps on the front. I planned to put 285/70s on the truck, and they are a little over 11 inches wide. The 305/65s are about 12 inches wide. Both sizes are the same overall height, 32.6 inches. I take the truck back next Wednesday for the standard 10-day checkup and I'll talk to them about the rubbing. I can live with it the way it is, but if they can do just a small amount of trimming (nothing serious) and eliminate the rubbing, great. I'll let you know how it comes out.

I took the truck back today and they used zipties to secure the plastic wheel wells and completely solved the rubbing problem. 4WheelParts is a very nice company to do business with.
