I just stopped by my dealer (CO), they disabled driver and passenger within 2 minutes. Easiest solution I've found.

    Some stuff...
I just printed one of these on the 3D printer - use it on my passenger seat to cancel the chime when hauling gear.

I tried this mod about ten times more than necessary, it just doesn't work on my 2011. The funny thing is, the mod for turning off the loud chirping noise when locking and unlocking my truck with the key fob didn't work either. Maybe some of the 2011s are the child safety cap versions?

Has anyone tried the Carista app to customize this (and other) settings on the 2011's with white instrument panel? The Carista website says Tacomas are not supported but many folks have reported that it works on various years. Just curious if this might be an easy solution.
