Hey I just purchased a 2011 Tacoma. It's time to mod. What's recommended for new purchases? I'm a Harley owner and it's recommended you change exhaust and intake immediately. Is it similar with a new Taco? I'm looking initially for improved performance and sound. Any suggestions?

Well if you have enough money to drop, you can always look at getting a TRD supercharger. I personally have a TRD CAI and the Flowmaster 50 series dual exhaust system and my throttle response is a little bit quicker but that is it. Its mostly for sound anyways.;)

A lot of guys on here seem to think you're better off spending your money on other mods. I have an intake, but then again I didn't pay for it. You could just throw in a K&N drop in filter

No performance from an intake, just sound.

our stock intake is more or less a cold air intake because it draws air from the fender well. Getting an after market intake just removes the secondary air filter. IMO, its not worth it

Well simply it all depends on the money your willing to spend. Also what are you looking to make the truck? DO you want it to be just a daily driver, drag, or a show truck? Do you want it to just look good going down the road or be able do blow by anyone?
