2011 Tacoma USB Port Install

Hello!
I was wondering if this USB charging port will work with my 2011 Tacoma under the ac controls?I have 2 empty slots,I was thinking about this and maybe another one to run behind the head unit for music?I have a pioneer 5800bhs.Thanks for all your help!

Yeah this one will only do charging. Just make sure the other one is just a USB extension (USB end, not power and ground like this one)

Yes they are the short ones under the ac controls..I think it said 2012 and up but mine is a 2011 but i think it will fit...Thanks!!

 

Would it be best to wire straight to the fuse box with add a fuse?

 

Did you ever add this and how is it working out? I'm thinking about adding it to mine under the AC controls. Any pics installed?

 

Here's the ones I used. I've had so many things in these holes, but here's where I ended up. This is a 2009 Off Road. The size is approx. 33mm x 22 mm, the taller ones next to the steering wheel are closer to 40mm but the same width.
