Your dealer is being a dipwad.
Go to another dealer or you will have to play the game with this one and load up the truck with some sacks of mason sand from Home Depot and bring it in loaded.

I'm going to call tomarow. Its funny this past weekend I took in 687 lbs of scrap metal and thought something wasn't right with the ride. I dida quick search and found this. Mines a '11 ac 4x4 v6 mt. It's only got 1500k on it, hopefully they don't give me bs.

so wife took the truck in today because we will be moving in march and last time i moved, just driving down the freeway for 25 miles with a few hundred pounds in the bed was terrible....and their response was "if we replace springs, the truck will experience a rough ride when there is no load and smooth when there is a load"....i smell a bullshit flag being raised....

theredofshaw, Tell the service manager or who ever made that statement that you bought a Tacoma, not a Camry. Ask him to explain why the Canadian trucks get four leaves, not three.

So I just got off the phone with the servIce dpt. I scheduled an oil change and told him bout the rough ride I expearenced with the bed loaded and he let out a sigh, then he got kinda aggressive and said well I have no idea about that so we wave to take a look at the truck. Lol. I smell some bs. So I'll find out what happens on sat

Well just left the dealership, the service guy i talked to was aware of the TSB and noted that i had the 3 spring pack. He said let him get the VIN number and check to make sure that the TSB applied to TX Package Trucks, It did so he said they will call when springs show up, should be Tues.

The dealership I bought the truck at was wanting me to bring the truck in with a load in the bed, Blah Blah etc. They just lost me as a customer and the new dealership has gained my business.

Ok so I just got my oil change and they "checked the truck." they said there's nothing wrong and there no upgrades. I clearly have the 3 leaf spring pack. Wtf. He went on to say that any different leaf pack will make the truck drive very unpredictable and poor. And it will lift the rear. Should I call them out on the tsb

You need to tell them you have a "harsh" ride in the rear and its bottoming out with small loads. Apparently most dealerships want to hear the word "harsh" when you describe it.

Yea I got to call them on Monday. The service writer told me to search online for a solution. That if I find an upgrade that they will install it for me, at my expense. But deff I'll start the Congo off with that, small load and harsh ride.
And if they give me shit I'll throw the tsb at em.

    Thanks for all yar help!!!!!!

Earlier today I called bak the dealer and asked for the service manager. I told him bout the prob and he imeadetly said yes there's a tbs for your truck. He said that to fully correct the problem that they would have to upgrade the shocks too. I asked y he said its all in the tsb. So I guess I'm getting new shocks and leafs. I guess it all depends on who you talk to.
Anyone with a non trd truck get there shocks replaced? If soo r they the trd bilsteins?

Non trd's have the upgraded shocks. Some have had them done by mistake.
    No shocks for you LOL

I'm wondering if it would be just as easy to add a helper leaf yourself than letting them morons wrench on my truck all day.

Anyone done this? It's a leaf that clamps on to the original leaf pak and is typically mounted foward of the axle.

Well just got word from dealership that they only received 1 spring and that the other spring was on back order till jan 28. The service manager told me they have changed the part # on the TSB springs? I asked him if there was a difference in the springs and he was not sure what really was going on, said maybe they changed where they are getting the springs from. So who knows what kind of spring you will get when you get the TSB?
