Any ideas when the 2012 ORs may be included in the TSB?

I saw the TSB stated x cab and double cab but not regular cab, would my 2011 regular 4cyl 4x4 cab be included for the upgraded rear spring ?

Does your truck have 3 or 4 leaves in the bak? Last I heard '12 s were saposta be all set from factory

On another not the dealer called me today, parts are in!!!!! Dropping the truck off on Monday. They still insist that the shocks need to be replaced. Eh w/e as long as It's totally fixed and rides just like it does now.

From another thread it appears the TRD Off Road package has the 3 while the others have 4

I have a 2011 Tacoma 4cyl 4x4 regular cab and was told by my dealership Deland Toyota here in Deland Florida they did not know about the TSB (BS). I told them the truck was bottoming out with any kind of load and uncontrolable with a trailer on the factory trailer hitch. I then got the BS about the rough ride with the new springs and if I didn't like it they wouldn't change it back and it would be my problem then. After reading the TSB myself I saw it was for x cab and double cabs so I called again before making an hour drive to the dealership and they told me my regular cab was not included because it was model specific TSB. You know enough of the shit I now hate this dealership and starting to dislike my Tacoma so I called ARB and ordered the whole new OME suspention with the Dakar rear springs so problem solved and now I don't have to use some crappy add a leaf or blocks to raise my truck and I will tell everyone I know about my bad experience including the Attourney General and not to buy a poorly designed Toyota. I have had many trucks over the years and have never had such a hard time buying a lift or wheels and tires. Fruck them !!! Pay backs are a bitch !!!

I was also told by Old Man Umu the issue realy wasn't about the rough ride when loaded. Toyota was finding out with the 3 leaf springs that when the truck was heavily loaded the main spring in the 3 pack was breaking so they came up rough ride story and did the TSB instead of looking bad with a recall. The truth will allways eventually come out when you lie and not do the right thing !!!

If you look at the TSB it has several 3 digit numbers that are for the VIN #'s affected. Look and see if yours is there. It is my understanding that regular cabs are not included for some reason.

My guess is the extra cabs and double cabs are heavier trucks and there is more of them being sold these days than the regular cab and then with a loaded bed the 3 leaf spring packs where breaking the main spring so Toyota did the cheepest thing in TSBing the x cab and double cab since that has been the majority instead of recalling all the 3 leaf spring trucks and bringing more attention to themselves after the other recall problems they have had

I got mine done today. Dealer had all parts in stock so I didn't have to make multiple trips. I told them that when my bed was loaded it would hit the bump stops. On the ticket the service rep wrote "get rid of junk 2 leaf w/overload and add 3 leaf w/overload per TSB".

Not me, my dealer didn't have any idea what I was talking about. They thought I wanted a softer more plush suspension. They explained that I have a truck.
