Anybody with a 2011 DC expereince the windshield noise such as described in in TSB NV006-07?

My dealer says I am the only person who has ever complained about a 2011 having the noise. THey tried new silicone which did not fix the problem and now has refered me to toyota corporate. Wondering if I truely am the only one with a 2011 who has expereinced this problem so common in earlier models.

My 09 does it. It did it quite a lot when it was newer, but has since seemed to only do it very occasionally. Might be the seals and gaskets hardening some that stops it, not sure.

When it does happen to me though it is always with a reasonably strong cross wind at 65-70mph+.

I haven't taken the time/effort to take it in, especially since it's been happening less and less.

There are a couple of threads for the newer model years (09+) still doing this. Some have attempted to get it fixed, but most have not.

theres a tsb about it, but basically the seal around the windshield is not good and can lead to a loud noise at high speeds

Doesn't the TSB state that there was a change in production? None of the later model Tacoma's should have this problem. I have a 2009 and mine is fine. I know someone with an '07 and his has the issue described in the TSB.

Only in a cross or headwind. Drove a 2009 and it was really annoying. Of course I ride a motorcycle so wind noise is not unusual to me.

Not a windshield noise, but at 65mph when it was 15F there was a rattle sound from the drivers window. Ended up being the side mirror. Had it replaced through work as a warranty item. To temp fix it pushing the power mirror forward and back then centering would sometimes fix it.

My 2006 will always whistle in that area over 40mph. It is guaranteed to happen every time. Not sure if it's the windshield though. It sounds like the kind of wind whilstle sounds you would hear in the movie Twister.

Really would be nice to find a solution to this whistle... I am frequently driving at highway speed with heavy cross winds and this seems real excessive. I have tried to get the tone to change by opening the window, pushing on the glass, pulling up on the weather stripping, etc... nothing seems to change the whistle.

Had the noise, after my 3rd trip to the dealer for it they resealed the windshield. No problems since then.
