I too have an 08 SR5 except RC and added 2012 pwr mirrors. I have the oem switch. I has no wiring for them and will have to wire them up. This mod adding blinkers to them sounds cool. Might as well add them while running all the other wiring.

Im bringing up this old post because I am at a stand still with this mod. Please, if anyone can chime in, I would appreciate it. I've read all the posts on this mod and I am stuck with how to wire up the turn signal lamps. I added sport mirrors on my 2015 SR5 Tacoma because I wanted to have the cool signal lamps on them. The above wiring diagram confuses me. I know that one of the wires will be the ground wire which I can easily ground onto a screw or something on the door, but the other wire or (power wire) I am unsure where to wire it to. I know that it will be on the fuse panel somewhere. Does anyone have pictures or clear instructions on how to do it? There has got to be someone on here that has just recently done it. Thanks for your help!

If you have the sr5 it should be prewired for the sport mirrors , Just plug and play. I put the sport mirrors on my 2012 sr5 and no add wiring.

On my '14, I took off the door skin and tested the factory harness with a test light. It does blink when blinker is on.
Just installed. Was plug and play on mine.

Im going to try this mod on my 2015. Similar lights in a prev car saved me a couple times from people changing lanes to a lane I was going to get into. They were able to see the side markers, and react.

well I have added 2012 pwr mirrors then modded those with white covers and blinkers to my 2008 reg cab SR5. No reg cabs came with pwr anything I'm aware of so yep, wiring fun for most any extras added. cc wiring was there tho.

Hey guys, older thread bump. I have a 2013 Prerunner SR5 and based on the old posts, I should have everything needed. I bought all the parts and took apart my door panel. I have the same photo as in post #32 with 5 wires coming into a connector and then going to three wires up into my mirror housing. This is the part I am completely lost on.

Do I just need to remove my entire mirror assembly and I should have the connection, or do I need to do something else? Sorry for the dumb question.
