The fake vents come off with two screws a piece after you remove the grill from the truck. I left mine black on my white '12 TRD...turned out pretty good after the BHLM

thanks hasket and crush....I am doing this mod soon. Dont know if I want to mess with the vents. I like the way they make the headlights look, but I hate that they are "just fake looking vents". Even if they were real, what in the hell would they vent? I am thinking colormatching them would make me feel better :) Whats the worst that could happen???? It sucks and I re-spray them black, right?

What color truck do you have? I think if you paint them then sanding the small web part would be a true pain in the ass.

    Not much.
Thinking about doing the BHLM... You guys have any trouble with the reseal phase and re-aiming your lights?

nah your truck is brand new...i felt that the glue was in good shape to re-use. however, i did use silicone to seal the other edges once the lights were put back together.
