So I did it this way and now my instrument panels are not lighting along with my tailights. I think I blew a couple of fuses; any help would be great

Would it be possible to post up a pic of yours? Just thinking that there may be something there that we could see to help you out without asking 101 questions.
    Thanks

    Okay, thanks.
Just thinking that the gauge of the wire may not be right, or that the crimp may not be right. Just something like that.
    Sorry for being a pia.

I used 16gauge wire but I noticed in the thread that people were fusing the wires because of extra protection but did not say why.

I was also reading this in the thread about why they do a fuse

Caribe makaira thought of even a cleaner way to wire it up for 2012 tacos.

There is no need to run the wire out of the small fuse box where the fog relay is since there are already 2 slots that are wired to ign power. They are the #2 slot (circled in green) and turn on/off with the ignition so you don't drain your battery. Suggested you use an inline fuse (1A will do) for extra protection.

So instead of running it to the Tail light relay in the large fuse box. just plug it into one of the available slots near the fog relay

My other question is what did I do wrong, tail lights dont work, instrument panel doesnt light up, radio works but doesnt show words on the display screen. Did I blow all those fuses??

This is what I was going to say. That there should be more connections. But it appears that others have not had to do that.
He also has a 2012, which could change things.

Why not pull the fuses for the items that do not work and check them, replacing if needed?

It's hard for us to tell from here if fuses are blown.

Everything turned out ok. Blew 2 fuses. I ended up doing it like post 14 and it works great now.
