Did you have to - trim the tabs or anything to fit them right?

Easy Peasy is the way to go but I want to do it right the first time!

This is the most useful post on this topic for me who has a Tacoma that is not prewired. Thanks.

I didn't read every post but one of the first said that all trucks are prewired? Is this true? I could not find the harness on mine but may not have looked in the correct places. I already have lights just been waiting to wire them up now..

I have a base 2014 regular cab 2.7L 4x4. It did not have pre wiring for fog lights. There is a Toyota factory install kit detailed instructions including every component. I purchased it from dealer "Toyota of McDonough" Georgia. They have kits in stock excellent service. Read instructions several times. You can print the instructions from their link a few post back. They have a great internet price. It literally only took about 3 hours. Job looks factory. John Jones Stone Mountain Georgia.

Checked out my truck out today, and it's not prewired

If you dig through the 2014 brochure it says the SR5 package has fog lights, but that isn't the whole story. Fog lights are part of the SR5 "package" only if you have a 4x4 access or double cab. No 4x4, no foglights. Regular cab, no fogs.

So, if a Tacoma plant is doing a production run of non 4x4's; one can assume they leave out the fog light wiring.

This sucks in a way, since you can't order fogs as a $300 option, because the wiring is missing. The dealer has to charge you $300 for the parts and another $200 to install them.

Go with the TRS LED fogs. Cheaper and much better light output. I love mine.

A conversation in the not too distance future...

2nd Owner: Why don't my Toyota fog lights work?

Toyo tech: They aren't connected and they aren't Toyota foglights

2nd Owner: Can you make them work?

Toyo tech: No, they are Walmart specials, we only work with Toyota parts

2nd Owner: How much to install Toyota foglights

    Toyo tech: about $500

2nd Owner: I'm going to find the original owner and beat him with a fish

Bumping this thread. I procrastinated on buying that OE fog light kit and now it seems it's not available anymore at the links in this thread. My 15 AC SR 2.7 is not pre-wired.

Anyone know where I can find that kit?
