I'm in this boat too. I need to do some adjusting on mine but I don't think they're quite as effective as they maybe should be as a fog light.

B737, what part number did you order and did it come from Ebay or Amazon?

For reference, this is the Ebay part number I used FOG-TOCA07-CL. The Ebay vendor was out of stock so I Googled the part number and ordered from a different vendor. I trimmed the tabs like in Trooper's thread and even dremeled out the screw holes a bit. They're in, but there is a fair gap between the bumper cover and the light. I'll try to remember to get pics this evening after work.

    Thanks.

Installed new hood with "hood-scoop". Installed Predator Side Steps. Replaced front chrome grill with customized color matched (Desert Sand Mica) grill with added TOYOTA lettering (also in matched color), installed and secured tailgate anti-theft devices. Also installed a new external TPMS monitor for all 4 tires.
This is a damn good thread on installing fog lights. Very informative and detailed! Thanks everyone that has added info, tip's, etc. on this mod.

Well, got my lights (FOG-TOCA07-CL) aimed apropriately now and they seem to work really well. Definitely not overly pleased by having to trim them, but they do fit.

All in all I got the lights for $47.99, Duralast relay from Autozone for $23.78 (Part # 20382) and the switch from my dealership for $58.00.

Less than $130 for fog lights is a steal!

I'll get pictures up here one of these days.

Thanks for all the info everyone!

    ATTENTION 2012-2013

the fog light switch mentioned in this thread has amber back lighting, appropriate for pre 2012 trucks. the switch you need to match the green back lighting of 2012+ is fog light switch 84160-04020

    parts.com for about $45.00

If your truck is not prewired, nothing is plug and play.
If it is prewired, there's a possibility but you will need additional parts.

Great Thread. Spent lots of time reading and taking notes.

I just got 2013 Taco, 4 cyl, 4x4 and want to install fog lights.

What is the verdict on the oem lights above? Anybody?

I might have to give them a shot.

Thanks everybody. Gathering my parts list and will be ordering soon.

I have 2.7l 4 cylnder access cab sr5. Looking at this thread most likely my truck is not prewired. I will check fuse box under hood. So if i buy a relay, switch, oem fogs, where can i get a wire harness for cheap? Ideally plug and play would be.great but the more i read seems unlikely. Seems you can get oem sienna fogs for 150. Thats for the whole kit.

If you are not prewired, there is no plug & play option.
On '05-'11, many AC and DC SR5 were prewired.

    2012 2.7l 4cy, 4x4, sr5 access cab was not pre-wired.

Bought this kit from eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170881171730

The 2012 Toyota fog light switch (part nbr 84160-04020 at parts.com - the switch is not "yet" wired).

Follow the instructions here works perfectly: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/207318-2012-tacoma-headlight-install.html

I have read a ton of threads in lighting. I saw it once but can not find it. How do you know if you if your taco is pre wired? Thanks for the advice.

Look under the bumper for the connectors.
They'll be taped up to the harness.

Open the underhood fuse box, read the graphic to identify which socket gets the fog relay. Look down into the socket and see if the slots in the plastic are empty, or have contacts in them.

Finally, pull the dash apart and locate a 4-wire connector.

If you have the first two, you likely have the 3rd and all you need is the lights, relay, switch, and a fuse.
