Been doing some search here already. But am looking for a good or recommended receiver for the 2012 Tacoma. Would like to maybe hook a plow up one day. Saw some mounted at very bottom. Others mounted in lower valance. I liked that look and functional location the best. Which model receivers are beat for that application. Thanks in advance

you have three options, take your pick:

    CBI Offroad
    http://www.cbioffroadfab.com/produc...-products/high-clearance-front-receiver-hitch
They have good reviews on here, and seem to be a good company. the most expensive option.

    4x Innovations
    http://www.4xinnovations.com/2005--2013-Tacoma-Front-Hidden-Hitch-Receiver_p_26.html
Middle of the road price wise. Ive seen some good and some bad about these guys

    Armor Tech Offroad
    http://www.armortechoffroad.com/2005--2013-Tacoma-Front-Hidden-Hitch-Receiver_p_358.html
Cheapest of the three. 4x innovations owns ATO, so your getting the same product with a different name on it and at a slight discount.

No firsthand experience with any of these so take my advice with a grain of salt.

First and for most. Thank you for the links. Def like the CBI as you chose. Is it strong enough to hold s plow chassis if I went that route one day?

The mounts are built to take downward and line pull loads, as long as your not shock loading the mount or asking it to support more than 100 pounds or so, you should be fine
