    None yet; soon.
Is this a certain fact? I had heard this floating around, but wasn't able to absolutely confirm it. Either way the current V6 should serve my needs and I won't be too sad if there is an improvement. There is always the 2022 model for me in the future.

I got a 2012 TRD Sport 4x2 SB. I used my credit union who took away the hassle of me going to/calling dealerships. I got it for $30,000 OTD with 2.99% APR. :D

I don't have 2012 info or pricing, but I was shopping for used tacomas and couldn't find a thing in my range, till I stumbeled up on a small dealership in Dallas and got my truck.

    I found tacomas 2002-2008 all day long for $15k - $28k

    I got my 2005, PreRunner, Crew Cab, SR5, 4.0 V6, Auto 5 speed, 245hp, with 108k miles
Roof Bars, towing package, AVS Window Rain Vents, running boards, fog lights, etc for $14,250 TTL included so before TTL it was about $13,000

    Loving my truck!

Maybe I should keep my 1999 Honda passport .

I did my share of waiting for the S2000 and 350z debut. Then there was another wait of avoiding first year model, and etc.. In the end, finally bought those cars but geez the waiting game sucks.

+1 and I'm not good with buying 1st year products anyway.

Variable valve timing as an update is fine with me for now. If the new one turns out to be that great, I'll get a 2015 after it's been proven.

Also, concerns are if they'll put a manual trans in with the options I like, and if they make any more cosmetic changes would I like them.

My wife's 2007 Lexus es350 (first year model) had a defective part in the engine. Oil dropped out while she was in the freeway and she drove for a few miles. No engine damage but the mechanic noted he had seen quite a few lexus had the same problem.

Put down the deposit of $1000 to bring the truck in after salesman checked and said it would be 2 to 3 days. Day 3 today, called to see what was up, he told me someone else bought the day before he checked and inventory hadn't updated so it would be 2 to 3 weeks. I told him to return my deposit, and meanwhile had just got an email quote from a dealer that had the one i want in stock for $200 less, plus free oil changes to 160000km or 7 years. Hopefully this other one works out. Unfortunately, this guy re-inforced my image of dishonest car salesmen.

Regarding the 2013 tacoma, sounds like some good rumours but i need a new vehicle now. If the resale is as good as they say i shouldn't have any trouble upgrading in a few years.

boston MA area, buying my DCSB sr5 next week, i've haggled a bunch here are the 2 competing offers:

    1. $27,999 which includes a "lifetime powertrain warranty" contingent on getting all oil changes/rotations done at the dealer :puke: ... not really wanting to handcuff myself by that but it does seem nice to have the warranty

    2. $27,735, no extra warranty, but will give me $1,000 more for my trade.

So... offer 2 will save me $1,265 but I get no lifetime powertrain (and I get to do my own oil changes without voiding the warranty).... Which would you take??

also, one more thing I'm wondering: The dealer with the warranty sais a suspension lift and larger tires will not void the warranty, should I believe him? It seems like if I brought the truck in with a driveshaft issue they would find a way to screw me anyways.

this is going through my head right now too... can't count on those rumors to come through... and even if they do, it will be nice to have a refined 2nd gen instead of one of the first of the new breed that may have some bugs to work out

Some people have had trouble with the dealer oil changes, i have never had the offer so i don't know how they work other than you get them done at the dealer every 6 or 7000 km.
Maybe they mean if you get the dealer/factory installed lift kit with tires when you buy they will warranty. Kind of like how they are supposed to warranty the dealer installed supercharger.

I ended up getting the black trd sport doublecab standard for $35208 out the door, with free oil changes for 7 years or 160000km, and 250 air miles. And am still waiting to get my deposit back from the liars at the other dealership.

Seems like. Entune is pricey, and the 1.9 is really attractive, best I could do was 2.4 (financing about $20k).

want to buy a 2013 tacoma double cad 4x4 when i retire.. in 15 months... I just retire now i want the Tacoma BUT i want 8 way adjustable seats?
How can you make a truck that is lacking the comforts that every American made truck offers as a standard options?

Heated "heated, leather, electrically adjusted seats"

Anyone have an idea where i can find a shop or pro in the northern calif Bay area to install ""heated, leather, electrically adjusted seats". I know the tundra has it all, But that not what i want.. I intend to buy a 2013 fully loaded Tacoma 4x4, short bed 4 door truck in 2013 , 15 months before i retire so i am ready to buy the best 4x4 fully loaded Tacoma.. BUT i want these seats, so any suggestions would be great.
the dealers only know how to sell the truck after that they are not much help with this subject matter of heated leather seats. We had a great shop that went out of business in Redwood city called "California Concepts", and now i have no where to ask these question.
