Not really.....trying to see how that $29854 relates to the invoice price. Do you know what the INVOICE PRICE was for your truck? If not....the MSRP????

    Thanks

Are you sure you bought a 2012?

I don't think the truck you described could be anywhere near that low. The invoice price for a truck I am considering is $31k...for a 4x4 DC LB TRD SPORT without Upgrade. Maybe I need to get an Off-Road instead...if they are $2k cheaper.

um...I used to sell Toyotas and I can tell you there is on average about three grand or 10% mark up on these trucks. there is a little hold back, but $4k under? Thats a bit of a stretch to me.

Mine is on order its a sport with upgrade pkg short bed entune allweather mats black oval steps. Msrp$35ish invoice $33ish i am getting it at invoice. I don't have the final numbers until next month when it comes in i know its a square deal because its family. There not a lot cash to play with like a ford f150 i was surprised. I know they make money on all the fluff ie bed step, first aid etc.

Looking to buy a 2012 DCLB TRD Sport in MGM with the Towing Package, Carpeted Floor Mats and Door Sill Protectors.

Just got a quote of $30,711 +TTT. According to the dealer it's about $150 under invoice and msrp is $32,765. TrueCar says the invoice is more along the lines of $30,948 and dealer cost is $30,391. So it's definitely below invoice. Does this sound like a good deal?

From what I can find online that's below dealer cost... how can I haggle with them to get it down lower like yours? Ideally I want to be around $30k I plan on trading in my car, but haven't told them yet. Was going to drop that on them at the end after I get them to a price I like.

I started with the trucar.com price and was talking to 3 dealers at the same time via phone/email. Each one beating the next by $50 or so, so I got to where I felt they about stalled. Walked into the dealer I planned on buying it from all along said "this is the best price, I will give you a deposit today if you give me a price that I can't walk away from" (not those exact words, but that idea). They gave me what I wanted on my trade and the $29850 for the truck. I gave them $500 and picked up the truck 2 weeks later.

Also got the $1k recent college grad "deposit", so if that applies to you, by all means, get that as well.

I've haggled about 5 dealers in the Bay Area and this is exactly the numbers I'm getting for this setup. If you get anything below $31k for the options you mentioned, its a good deal. Downside is I have to order and will get it in mid-december:(
