I just negotiated between 3 dealers in the SF Bay Area this price:

Thank you for your email, here is our best Price today:

    MSRP is$31040

    Dealer Invoice is $29,570

    Your Price $29,070 + Fees (tax,lic,reg,doc)

and after you can use the rebate $500 or Special Finance

    The configuration is:

2012 Access Cab 4WD Tacoma Manual Transmission
    Silver Streak Mica
    Daytime Running Lights
    V6 Tow Package
    TRD Off Road

The dealer that made it work for me gave me all weather mats and a windshield sealant for free (no warranty on the sealant though). They were reluctant at first, but I had a mix of gift cards that I threw in that I got for a Christmas gift that I had no intention of ever using.

5% Front strip and doors, 20% wrapped around the rest of the truck.
At the toyota dealer near me they have a 2012 base 4x4 with a 6 inch pro comp stage 1, a grill guard, a truck bed light bar. 35" pro comp tires n 18 wheels all for 43,895!!!! In my books that's a rip off they r literally charging 8500 for lift n tires alone. I sure hope no one buys its. Its also a double cab short bed.

Hi, just joined. Sold my 93 dbl cab, 4x4 manual for $6300 with a bad a/c compressor.

I just put a down payment on a 2012 Tacoma, access cab, SR5, 4x4, 6 cyl, 6 spd with tow package, 16" alloy whls, and all weather mats. No Toyota Gard. It was $26,200 but has a Southeast Toyota fee of around $800. $27,020 out the door minus tax. It is in the port in Jacksonville, and is scheduled to arrive July 23d.

It was the same for me here in Minneapolis. Everyone was within about $50 of each other, couldn't get much movement. Ended up going with the closest dealer to where I lived, also liked that they were a local family-owned one vs. one of the city conglomerates. I ended up with:

    2012 Access Cab V6 4x4 AT
Pyrite Mica (really like this color, my other considerations were the blue and green, but this won out)
SR5, alloys, skid plate, chrome exhaust tip, DR lights, fogs
tow package, all-weather mats, can't remember what other options if any
No trade-in (which probably hurt me slightly)

    27,695 before TTL

I'm convinced that the only way to actually get a fair deal is using the advice and info at fightingchance.com. I've bought my last 3 cars/ truck using their pricing guide and buying method.

I got it for $30524.76 which I thought was fair... in Arizona it's very hard to get a deal on these trucks. I almost flew to another state to buy one but I was happy with the deal I got.

I just bought my taco for $923 below INVOICE (MFG $500 rebate + $423 under invoice) by working multiple dealers against each other (bidding war to get my business) and tied it to the end of the month/quarter. Ended up being on of only a few deals that needed to get done to get the dealer a larger mfg bonus.

Double Cab / Super White 4x4 with Tow pkg, Premium TRD Offroad Pkg.

PM me for details on the process if you like.

Paid $30K for the truck (plus state fees, and taxes)

As mentioned before : Get the Fighting Chance info from James Bragg's site. It really helped me - especially on understanding the deals that others received, how to get dealers to compete for YOU and how to look through the invoice/MSRP nonsense.

2012 DCSB 4x4 OR with entune. had a sticker price of 35500 but got it for 31500 out the door. I looked for a while in the AZ area and I couldn't beat the price. Traded in my 03 extended cab prerunner for 9500. Could have sold it for more but convenience factor was worth the additional money.
