Thanks, I'm getting a 2012 Silver Streak Mica DCSB TRD Off-Road 4x4 with Entune. I'm getting every option lol. They will be heading out in the morning to go get it. Negotiations have begun! No deal-we were $1500 apart and I walked away. Don't need it that bad and I still love my 09. Oh well

PS ... My last 2 Tacomas were silver ... and I liked them ... but tried red this time and it is growing on me.

... ^^^ ... My pricing was about the same ($700.00 less for SB TRD) and I got high KBB trade on my 2011 ... love this truck for resale/trade-in too ... :D

PS ...Do NOT get suckered into other high priced warranties, gap insurance and/or other high profit ginger bread in the business office. ...

Remember ... You can buy the "Platinum Toyota OEM Extended Warranty" for a lot less here and on line ... and I think you have up to 36 month or 36,000 mile to buy it too. GAP Insurance is peanuts from your auto insurance company too.

Yes, that's the old style dealer invoices. The new ones don't show holdback or reserve. They are automatically included in the invoice price of the base truck before options. You can calculate them though. Holdback is 2% of MSRP before options. Reserve is 1% of MSRP before options. Those amounts don't change. TDA is their regional advertising fees charged by Toyota and vary by regional marketing areas. They are an actual cost to the dealer. Dealerships here in the midwest typically won't budge on that.

If the OP is looking for quality data...

folks should post net price of vehicle, after trade-in and negotiations, excluding the "out the door" bs.

every state has different taxes & fees...and every dealer has different fees.

it's like members posting what they are paying monthly. or worse...like members posting their monthly payments but not disclosing term.

    IMO

This thread reminds me of my xda Android phone forums. Every person says they got their phone for free bc they paid $200 and then sold their old phone for $150 and their grandma leant them $50.

People need to ignore their trade in and just give the price of the truck without tax, tag, title that they haggled for. And definitely without subtracting your trade in value. Most this thread is useless bc people are getting 4x4 dc trds for 28k "otd". more like 32k minus your 4k trade in

    x2

"Omg i got such a great deal, my monthly payment is $185/month (little did i tell you i put down $25,000 and i am financed for 84 months)"

is basically the same thing as these people talking about OTD pricing, there are too many variables to truly compare.

    I agree
    I agree

Everything in American life has become ambiguous....

just like salaries, everyone speaks in "take home" figures. Personally, I believe every wage eraner should be paid in gross from their employer and have to pay quarterly taxes for the services the government provides.

when folks have to start writing those checks to the IRS...watch how fast the income tax laws change.

we would end up with a fair tax system (consumption not income) in a hurry. but it will probably never happen: A-because it removes power from the politicians (can't buy votes) & B-because most Americans are dumber than a door knob.

    :(

That's actually a good idea. Never heard of it before. Taxes are "out of sight, out of mind" for most of us.

correct, and that's how the politicians want it.

imagine having to pay a line item bill each quarter for:
    libraries
    police
    fire dept
    trash collection
    water service
    sewer service
    public transportation
    public housing
    recycling
    stop signs
    street lights
    sidewalk repair
    mail delivery
    schools
    teachers

not to mention the big expenses:
    NASA
    Pentagon
    US Military
    Foreign aid
    Food Stamps
    Welfare
    Medicare
    Medicaid
    Wall St. Bail outs
    etc.,,,etc.,,,etc.,,,

change the American tax structure...remove the power from the politicians (who are supposed to be citizen servants btw, not career politicians...our founding fathers envisioned them serving, then returning to the private sector)

Term limits and a fair tax (consumption tax not income tax)...

is THE only way to save this ship...as she is taking on water fast, and ony the uber rich have a life boat.

    [off soap box] :D
