Thats a good price. thats what i paid for a DCSB TRD OR 4x4, tow, DRL & Mats in May. I think the more expensive OR package offsets the more expensive LB that you're getting.

my sticker was $33k something i believe.

2012 4x2 White Dcab LB, Entune, TRD Sport, Daytime running lights, Tow pkg.

$29,000 + tax and license. Financed through own bank, so was essentially a cash deal to dealer at 10PM on the last day of the month. Salesman told me I was "stealing" the truck, I said "yeah right!". Maybe I did!

    actually...I should have posted:

"any brand new 4x4 TRD Tacoma under 30K..."

I have no pricing experience with the 2x4 Tacoma trucks.

thats pretty fair.....the 4x2 & sport discounts are probably eaten up by the Off Road and 4x4. I am sure the MSRP was probably around $33,300 or so. thats a pretty good deal.

The MSRP on the truck I'm looking at is $35,240.
The dealer is discounting it $3K and change (about 9%).
They're giving me $18.5K in trade.
Subtracting the trade from the selling price saves me another $1.1K.

What appreciate some feedback this evening. I'm thinking of pushing the go button.

A 3K discount. is about max on a New Tacoma.

My new 2012 was discounted $2,900. and I was OK with that.

In my opinion MSRP means nothing. Invoice is the important number. Before taxes you need to shoot for under invoice. Invoice plus taxes is barely even a good deal.

forget the taxes and tags, you always have to pay those.

Invoice is a fair deal. Dealers only have roughly $500 in hold back on these trucks. You cant expect much less then invoice plus any rebates available. if you happen to get a few hundread more, its because they are trying to hit a certain sales incentive in which they make extra money.

I went to a few dealers and they would barely come off the price of the truck.

I ended up getting a 2012 Preruner - doublecab - V6 - automatic (so my wife can drive) -SR5 - dealer leather 2 tone perforated - short bed - magnetic grey -tow package - tint - possible forgetting something but I paid 28K + TTL. Bluetooth backup cam but I think that is just part of the SR5 package.

    1) bull bar
    2) side running boards
    3) front deflector
    4) window visors
    5) truck bed mat
    6) bought better tires
