It's Roland Emmerich. All his movies are the same. Godzilla, Independence Day, Day After Tomorrow, 2012....he might as well call his next one "Shit Falls Apart".

im not gonna waste my money to fund a stupid theory-based movie. i mean seriously, everyone is spazzing out because a calendar ends on 12/21/2012. did anyone ever think that the mayan guy who did the calendar just died when he got to that day and no one else knew how to keep the calendar going? or maybe he just decided to stop on that day because he was tired?

there are kids out here who are honestly scared because of the hype the media has put on this. my gf's dad even swears the world is coming to an end that day. like he seriously swears and believes it. cmon folks we all know only ONE guy knows the date the world's coming to an end...

It could have been really cool if they went into the conspiracy behind it, and built up to the final day... but all it was was a divorced family drama mixed with some big waves and your standard "last second escape"

    terrible movie
