Just mounted the ebay 07-09 camry lights in my '13 access cab base. Yes, two of the the tabs had to be slimmed down with the dremel and the other two tabs needed the holes rounded out a little more, but they did mount with a little convincing! And there is a little gap at the top and bottom of the foglight and the bumper but nothing noticeable. Looks A LOT better than those plastic fillers!

I'll wire the bastards up soon and try to write another tutorial, hopefully as good as this one!

I want to order the camry lights as suggested on this forum but am a little hesitant as to how well they will fit? How large is the gap between the light and bumper piece? and are the stock wires long enough to be used? i have a 12' 4cyl access cab that isnt prewired and id just like to get some lights that would act like stock i.e. turn off when headlights are turned off and when brights are on with as little as modifications to original wiring as possible. Thanks

It all depends on how you install and wire it.

To answer the first part of your question, I'd have to take a picture. It's hard to describe. The gap is very small though and I feel that others (non-Tacomaphiles) looking at the truck wouldn't know they're not stock.

The second part of your question I don't understand. You said your truck isn't prewired, but you're asking if the stock wires aren't long enough? Do you mean the supplied wires with the kit? I haven't hooked them up yet. I'll let you know.

cfagan14: have you installed this kit before? is it a direct install even with a truck that is not prewired?

tacovirgin: sorry i meant what is wrong with the wiring harness that comes with the camry fog lights. is it just not long enough or does the switch not fit?

Yes I have installed that specific kit, it had everything required to install it.It does require taping into the vehicles wires but it comes with the adapters to do so, thus no cutting of wires or anything.

I got this kind of kit.. but I dont understand why recut some of the wires for the switch. I got it all hook except the red wire to hook to low beam.. which I have a hard time finding it under the dash kickplate.. that I need to t-tap then I am all set to go. I dont see nothing wrong using the kit wires all the way thru.

My '06 has fog lights, but they are totally useless. It sounds like the '07/'09 (?) Camry have better fog lights? I was hoping to find an aftermarket solution that would replace the stock ones, plug & play. I'll ask at the 4x4 store, I guess. All the good auto parts stores are gone, it seems.
