    hello all, after searching the web and being on this site several time ive decide to join...
    heres what i got;
    -2012 tacoma double cab offroad package
    -less the 7k miles

    what i plan on getting/ have picked out;
    *LIFT*
    -the ome lift from toytec
    *going with aal, pendin on toyota wether on not to get the regular or tsb aal
    *885 coils/struts preassembled option with packer, top plate spacers, bushings
    *diff drop kit
    *WHEELS/ TIRES*
    -275/70R18 cooper discoverer stt's
    -18x9 pro comp metal milisha wheels (0mm offset and 5"bs)

    What i want to know;
    - will i rub with that set-up?
    -can i keep mud flaps?, more than likely will loose them but just wondering

    ives come to learn on here that ome lifts are the shit on tacomas and they handle them very well, thats what i want, i like the look and hope i like ride/ quality as well, i like like the 6" kits too BUT u have to cut frame, ppl still rub, power loss....not the route im looking for, i font want the dremel anything, do cab mount chop, at the most i would remove mud flappers

    thanks in advance guys, i know they are alot of knowledgabl ppl on here and i hope they will chime in and help me......the truck i made my decison on (based on hight/ look / tire size) is;

    I have the ome 885's and nitros with 285/75/16's on my 2012. Slightly smaller but wider tire than your looking at. I had to take off the from mud flaps, including the tiny ones infront of the tire. But other than that iv had 0 rubbing issues. And the rear mud flaps are still on

    anything guys?....the only thing that worries me is i keep searching but come across threads where the lower control is rubbing and have to trim alot..... the wheels are 18x9 with 5 inchs backspacing theyd have the 275/70 tire...in theory if CoZ can run 285/75's with 0 rubbige i shpuld be able to do my set-up without any too...right?

    I think with the 275's you may have slight rubbing at full lock.
    And definitely remove the front flaps.

    I have the OME lift and love it!, I highly reccomend not going with a single AAL in the rear. It will make the ride alittle stiff... Get the 3 leaf progressive AAL from Wheelers and you will be much happier! just keep your overload in place for a full 2" lift or not and get 1.5" lift and a level stance. Its way better then the single AAL!

    As far as rubbing, you will rub some plastic and may have to loose the mudflaps. If you plan on getting new UCA's for better/proper allignment specs then you will for sure have to loose the mud flaps. :)
    Good Luck!

    what about a 285/ 65 18 ?
    ...these guys with them still have mud flpas on some of them, other dont....do they rub, im tryin to find a size that close to 33x12.50 that wont make it rub, i will cut on new truck at all ill take mud flaps off front and rear and the lil one on front fender and thats it...the 285 65 is almost identical to 33x12.50 if u look at them on overlays and sidexsides on tir calculator things

    A 285 is only 11.22 not 12.50. If you want 12.50 you would have to go with like a 315/60/18 to get a 33x12.50 and they would rub for sure. Go with a 285/70/17, 285/75/16 or 285/65/18 all are pretty close to the same size & you still may have to trim plastic.

    285's will rub for sure! and you may also have to do the Cab mount chop.

    And like stated, a 285 isnt a 12.5. a 12.5 will rub way more..

    ^^It seems like guys witha true 3" lift can get by with out the cmc & just trim some plastic compared to guys with 2.75". You would know better since you have 285's & all I have is a 3" lift with stock tires.

    this and that...
    hey, quick question guys. didnt feel like creatinga whole new topic for this. i just lifted my truck with the 5100 eibach setup up. .85 up front/2" aal in the rear. the driver side has the 1/4" trim spacer for the lean. the front sits lower about a inch on both sides. what i wanted to know was, could i run the 1/2" (~3/4"-1" estimated lift) spacer on the driver side and the 1/4" (~1/2" estimated lift) on the passenger side to level out the truck? just want to top it out to 3" total lift, but dont want the lean, or if possible with that setup, make it barely noticable if any.

    ^^Measure from hub to fender and see what your at.. Try not to go higher then 23.5"s bc then you could have some problems.. (23.25" is right on 3" lift)

    But your better option to level out your ride is to just get the 1.5" AAL...

    oz-t: thanks for getting back to me. i measured from the middle of the hub to the bottom of the fender and came up with 22" even on both sides. do you think the trim spacers is an option (1/2" driver, 1/4" pass.)? i know itll sit below the 23.5 mark, but ill be content if the trim spacers add that little bit extra, cause like i stated earlier, the front sits an inch lower on both sides. just trying to see if it will lift each side in unison but at the same time help cut down 1" rake.

    What shocks are you running

    Edit : Sorry , I got you confused with the OP ,

    I don't know why a 1/2" spacer driver's and 1/4" spacer passenger side wouldn't work

    You will need extended studs for the 1/2" spacer though
