They did their initial systems check, and that was it. Sent the guy back in to fill the tank, at it came back out at three. Virgin as it gets. Runs beautiful! I've put just over three hundred on it, driving around in the mountains. I like the idea that it will run the course of it's life on 265/70/16s with the 95% nitro fill. Had the 245s on my earlier model for 25k before switching, and there was some natural creaking and such as it got used to the new shoes. Feels right. Breathes good. 21.5 mpg on it's maiden tank with 400lbs. of load weight. I'm in love!

Finally got to see one in person this weekend. Love the way it looks from the front but the sides of the front bumper still look a little odd and out of place. Not horrible but will take time to grow on me. Still disappointed that the roof Shark Fins are not painted. For a $34K+ vehicle you would think they would have color matched them like the rest of the line-up(I even think the Corollas are color matched.) Just still proves that the Tacoma is still the Red Headed step child of the Toyota line-up as they always cheese out on the little details that could make a big difference.
I loved the gauge cluster. So much nicer than my 2010.

Anyone know the manufacturer and model number of the rear view mirror? Is backup camera the same as on the 2009-2011's?

Not as many posts as some of the other colors because Toyota doesnt make a whole lot of them. But I love it! Mine will be Pyrite Mica as well :)

That may be a tough combo to find, I haven't even seen that many 2011's in that configuration.

Your best source for the hood protector right now will probably be Toyota.

It may just be too soon - the hood looks to be completely different than the previous years.

I believe the camera display is bigger for 2012. For some reason I am thinking 3" from 2.5" but I could be off. As for model/manufacturer not sure.

I think the new ones are 3.3" but I don't remember how big the old ones are.

Hey I'm new! I'm in the process of pulling the trigger on a '12 Silver Mica TRD Sport DCSB A/T. OTD is gonna be $31,900 and that includes the 7yr/125K Warranty. Just thought I throw that in for comparison. A Lot of good looking trucks on here!

Does anyone have any idea why Toyota.com won't let me build a REGULAR cab 4x4 with V6 Automatic? Is it possible to get one that way? Seems like an odd thing to not work. I'm also waiting to hear what the hell the deal is with the 2012 superchargers.

I was looking at a the Green Double Cab TRD 2012, I just wasn't keen on the Front end, the interior was nicer than the 2011, that Glossy Piano Black looks good..
Then it came down to Deal time in the end I thought having an Extra $100 in my pocket was a better deal than a pretty interior and a green truck. I got a killer deal on a 2011 Double Cab TRD in Red cause it was the last one they had and the 2012 were rolling in.
I was all happy with myself....until a week ago and a 2012 Green Double Cab TRD pulled up next to me at a set of Lights...... :(
It was really nice...and I had buyers remorse...took that $100 bucks outta my pocket and Was "it is all your Fault, stupid money...this is why i hate you"

But I still love my new Girl and won't give her up just cause the new girls are a little more pretty :D

Not to make things worse, but going with a 2011 over a 2012 for $100 is not worth it IMO. If nothing else, $100 is worth having a vehicle that is one model-year newer for resale purposes.

Either way, I love my 2011 and I got a smokin' deal on it.

If only I could swap the interior with a 2012...

anyone know differences w/ the stereo system on the '11 vs. the '12... i thought i heard that all '12 come /w USB port and aux port, ...not sure what the head unit is like though (better?)..?? also what about hands-free phone/bluetooth - standard in '12?
